How to Paint the Mulch’s Shell

THE SHORT VERSION
The ’Eavy Metal team answers a reader’s request for the purple shell of the Mulch, combining a very dark violet base with progressively paler highlights. Blue-green colour is worked into the recesses instead of simply using a darker wash, with thin, milk-like paint consistency recommended to control the unusual contrast.
