Painting the 3rd Company
August 2022·p. 93
THE SHORT VERSION
Edd develops worn red armour through a broad dark wash, lifted highlights and a unifying red glaze. His deliberately free treatment of metallics mixes violet and sepia on the model to create an oily patina, with separate recipes for black, yellow, gold and earthy bases preserving distinct surfaces across the army.
