THE SHORT VERSION
Borja Garcia distinguishes Gandalf’s white materials through grey, yellowish and reddish off-white foundations before tying them together with pale highlights. Painting Pippin separately preserves access to the wizard, while softer thin layers give Shadowfax a coat texture different from the surrounding robes and cloak.
