Model of the Month: Morathi

March 2018·p. 12

THE SHORT VERSION

Two miniatures embody Morathi’s deceptive beauty and corrupted true form. The High Oracle’s ornamental wings and flowing hair conceal a huge winged serpent whose altered body reflects her imprisonment inside Slaanesh; both versions carry Heartrender and the surviving Heart of Khaine.

Designer’s Notes: The Daughters of Khaine Battletome

Robin Cruddace explains the deception behind Morathi’s claimed communion with Khaine: the power of the cult’s slaughter flows to her. Shadow magic, prayers, escalating Blood Rites and a one-way transformation give that background mechanical expression, while the spare Avatar from an existing kit becomes a usable unit.
