Painting Thranduil
December 2013·p. 113
THE SHORT VERSION
Grey layers suggest a shimmering woven coat without turning it into metallic armour. A related cloak sequence gains green-grey shading and minute pale dots. Warm red lining gives the otherwise restrained figure a strong inner accent. The king’s skin follows the Ranger guide with its final reddish wash omitted for a paler result.
