REVIEW·WHITE DWARF 407

Special Effects Paints

November 2013·pp. 28–30

THE SHORT VERSION

Six paints offer distinct surface effects rather than ordinary flat coverage. Glossy blood and translucent slime suit wounds and monsters, while gritty corrosion and orange drybrush paint work together on rust. A pale wash creates verdigris on copper alloys. Crackle paint forms dry ground and can also suggest baked mud on vehicles.
