Rebuilding the Empire
November 2013·pp. 150–151
THE SHORT VERSION
Dan Abnett explores why apparently inactive factions needed their own part in the Heresy narrative. Guilliman’s talent for empire building makes his contingency plan plausible but politically dangerous. The Ruinstorm leaves brothers unable to verify each other’s allegiance or Terra’s survival. Abnett describes the novel as a junction between earlier stories and new directions, with loyalty complicated by each Primarch’s ambitions.
