Robin Cruddace balances a shared Space Marine identity with Chapter-specific traditions. Separate histories and artwork make the main armies more than alternative paint schemes. He explains incorporating Black Templars into the larger codex while retaining their distinct units. Chapter Tactics are intended to turn those backgrounds into recognisable battlefield behaviour.
