Rusty Pipes and Bronze Statues
August 2013·p. 117
THE SHORT VERSION
Stippled browns and orange imitate the uneven corrosion visible on real pipes. Small metallic patches suggest places where the rust has chipped away. The statue uses a thin green-grey wash to stain recesses like oxidised bronze. A gold drybrush restores raised details without removing the aged appearance.
