Painting Kroq-Gar on Carnosaur
August 2013·p. 110
THE SHORT VERSION
Dan paints the rider, monster and two reins as separate components. This preserves access and prevents the quick work on the large creature spoiling the smaller parts. Pale flesh receives controlled layers, while red scales use drybrushing and a wash. Only after completing the four sections does he bring the model together.
