Armchair General: For Bretonnia and the Lady
August 2013·pp. 68–73
THE SHORT VERSION
Duncan Rhodes uses a Blood in the Badlands campaign to turn a small Bretonnian army into a cast of characters. Personal rules give knights precedence in charging and prevent them voluntarily abandoning the Lady’s blessing. Coordinated cavalry attacks supply the main striking power while peasants delay other threats. Rivalries and promotions emerging in the campaign become the lasting reward for that deliberately characterful style.
