Painting a Bastiladon
August 2013·p. 112
THE SHORT VERSION
Chris Peach uses wasp-like warning colours across the monster’s armour. Drybrushed grey defines the dark shell before orange and yellow create a striking pattern. Stippling follows the peaks and troughs of a sound recording as a visual guide. A separate yellow crystal recipe finishes with gloss for the Solar Engine.
