Frozen Lava and Powdery Snow

May 2012·pp. 102–103

THE SHORT VERSION

The bubbling crater interiors use dark teal through turquoise layers before a distant white spray creates a frozen dusting. For snow on buildings, Mierzwa sprays lightly from one direction and adds Citadel Snow before the paint dries, repeating the process if a thicker covering is needed. The two techniques make mineral pools and Imperial structures look exposed to the same severe climate.
