The allied defenders survive the Necrons’ initial arrival by going to ground, but their own ineffective shooting leaves the attackers ready for a devastating second turn. Wraiths overrun the Eldar flank and even kill an Inquisitor with a transdimensional beamer, while individual Imperial Heroes can only delay the wider collapse. The command bastion falls, giving Krispekh the successful decapitation raid his faltering invasion needed.
