Weather the Storm
April 2012·pp. 84–85
THE SHORT VERSION
Weather the Storm rewards preserving units and destroying the enemy while a confused deployment and repeated lightning threaten both sides. Randomly assigned starting sectors disrupt neat battle lines, and the deafening conditions make units test morale on their majority Leadership rather than simply relying on an attached Hero. Kelly also suggests changing the narrative of hazards or the randomiser to suit particular planets, keeping the mechanics useful across ice, jungle and Daemon worlds.
