Death World Hazard Tables

April 2012·pp. 78–79

THE SHORT VERSION

The hazard framework selects one of four tables at the start of each player turn, sometimes allowing either commander to choose the danger. Environmental results affect broad areas, indigenous threats often punish units in cover, seismic events menace open ground and Hellscape effects range from meteors to altered gravity. Kelly advises learning these differences and treating the terrain as another weapon, while the expanded scoring rules let many more kinds of soldiers claim objectives.
