PAINTING·WHITE DWARF 388

Citadel Glaze

April 2012·p. 40

THE SHORT VERSION

Matt Kennedy explains glazes as translucent colour filters that can enrich an entire surface, unify excessive highlights or add small local nuances. The four colours are demonstrated through a Bloodletter and alternative treatments of a Chaos Warrior, where a different glaze suggests a different patron god. His central advice is to experiment on a test model because subtle placement and an all-over application can produce very different results.
