The Colleges of Magic

THE SHORT VERSION

The Colleges trace their origin to Magnus’s determination that the Empire should no longer depend on others to oppose hostile sorcery, with Teclis founding schools for the eight Winds in Altdorf. Battle Wizards carry eccentric equipment reflecting their chosen lore, and their vaults contain powerful artefacts such as the Hurricanum and Luminark. Painter comments show how marble effects, earthy colours and repeated globe treatments distinguish the orders visually.

Chaos Marauder: Human Flesh

Bugman’s Glow supplies a strong warm base for the Marauder’s bare skin before Reikland Fleshshade defines the musculature. Cadian Fleshtone restores the broad raised surfaces and Kislev Flesh picks out the highest details. Leaving the initial wash visible between those layers gives the muscular figure depth without requiring blended paint mixtures.

Beastmen Gor: Tanned Flesh

The Gor’s warm skin progresses from Ratskin Flesh through a Reikland Fleshshade wash to Bestigor Flesh and Ungor Flesh highlights.
