Vermin Lord: Skull, Horns, Hooves and Claws
December 2009·pp. 96–97
THE SHORT VERSION
Joe compares dark-to-light blending with a pale base followed by shading. The latter makes the exposed skull and horns stand out without excessive layers. Hooves use a darker sequence and fine vertical lines for texture. Small chips and cracks connect these hard surfaces to the creature’s aged appearance.
