PAINTING GUIDE·WHITE DWARF 360
Painting the Coaching Inn
December 2009·p. 86
THE SHORT VERSION
Warm walls contrast with a cool slate roof and neutral stone details. Drybrushing gives the large textured areas definition without requiring individual highlights. Rust, droppings and wet mud establish a neglected building. Water Effects turns the courtyard into a convincingly churned surface after the underlying browns are complete.
