A Nurgling birthday cake and a giant Squig cake translate familiar monsters into edible creations. One comes from a local hobbyist, while the other was commissioned for Games Day Baltimore. The latter also connects to a television bakery programme. The small feature shows an unusual extension of the hobby’s visual humour.
