THE SHORT VERSION

Joe sketches the ornate freehand decoration on paper before applying it to the finished armour. Leather brown and white become non-metallic gold with a dark outline. Grey edging suggests another metallic surface around the design. The helmet repeats that approach and receives the armour’s coloured glazes.
