Painting da Stompa
April 2009·pp. 74–81
THE SHORT VERSION
Mark paints the large model in sections, using smaller crew figures as breaks between major tasks. Masked camouflage, differently aged metals and a green face give the Blood Axe machine its identity. Irregular whitewash and damaged plates suggest repairs by Grots rather than neat factory work. Controlled chipping, dirt and rust finish the model without obscuring its main colours.
