The development of the Land Raider Crusader enables Ludoldus’s force to smash through Jerulas’s fortified hives rather than endure a prolonged siege. Multi-meltas open the gatehouse and assault Terminators exploit the breach, establishing the tank’s line-breaking role. The narration acknowledges inconsistent accounts placing Ludoldus in campaigns separated by millennia. Mark Bedford’s accompanying warriors use Guard heads, putty tabards and warmed resin Rhino doors bent into storm shields.
