PAINTING·WHITE DWARF 312

Detailing the Black Templar Land Raider Crusader

December 2005·pp. 30–31

THE SHORT VERSION

A black undercoat receives Codex Grey drybrushing and sharper Fortress Grey edges, with fragile fittings attached after the forceful brushing is finished. Boltgun Metal marks chips, while Scorched Brown, Vermin Brown and Graveyard Earth build dirt near the running gear; white spray and snow scatter offer a winter alternative. Small irregular lines of thinned paint suggest liturgy without overwhelming the vehicle or requiring readable miniature text.
