PAINTING·WHITE DWARF 309

Winter

September 2005·p. 67

THE SHORT VERSION

Pale greys, blue-greys and subdued flesh tones give the Elves a spectral winter appearance, balanced by darker wood and brown. The example uses a light bow against the dark body, while a sparse base and exposed plastic roots replace summer vegetation. The text also reminds collectors that Orion’s seasonal nature makes him an awkward choice for a genuinely winter-themed army.
