Kemmler strikes when Athel Loren’s spirits sleep, concealing himself in a king’s tomb while Wood Elf riders chase summoned carrion. His ritual wakes bronze-armoured dead across the heath and drives them deep into the forest. Dryads and Waywatchers delay the invasion until Sceolan and Ythil muster a decisive defence, leaving the Elves determined to avenge the deepest penetration their realm has suffered.
