MODELLING·WHITE DWARF 309

A Sample Terrain Set

September 2005·pp. 94–95

THE SHORT VERSION

Haines plans irregular woods, multi-level hills and low ruins instead of a collection of square obstacles. Individual trees stand on larger area bases so troops can occupy the wood precisely, while old scenery can be repaired and expanded into a useful starting set. Moving the pieces away from table edges creates reasons to advance and extra routes of approach, demonstrating that arrangement matters as much as the quantity of terrain.
