The History of Heinrich Kemmler
September 2005·p. 61
THE SHORT VERSION
A dated chronology follows Kemmler’s studies in the lands of the dead, rivalry with Brachnar and imprisonment by the lich Crovan. His subsequent fortress, attacks on Tilea and Bretonnia, defeats and madness lead to Krell’s awakening and renewed war. The introduction warns that Kemmler himself is the principal, biased source; the sequence gives the campaign a longer history of ambition, recovery and repeated catastrophe.
