TACTICS·WHITE DWARF 309

Choose Where You Fight

September 2005·pp. 38–39

THE SHORT VERSION

A small army can anchor its flanks on difficult or impassable ground and reduce a larger enemy’s ability to surround it. Woods sharply reduce cavalry mobility and cancel charge advantages, but Woodland Creature lets Elves exploit the same terrain without that penalty. The examples show terrain as an active component of deployment and movement, supported by advice to use enough scenery to create meaningful decisions.
