Building a Digestion Pool
September 2005·pp. 106–109
THE SHORT VERSION
Dominic Murray cuts an inset pool into foamcard on a wooden base, then adds sliced foam and wooden balls as swelling bubbles. PVA, talc, sand and gravel create slippery liquid and half-digested debris. Fleshy drybrush layers, red-purple discolouration and orange-yellow patches make the surface deliberately unpleasant, with gloss supplying a wet finish. The scenery can join the preceding invasion projects to show a world’s final state.
