Bridges Great and Small
September 2005·pp. 46–51
THE SHORT VERSION
Adrian Wood builds a Númenórean bridge from scored foamboard, bending a separate roadway between arched sidewalls and adding buttresses and statue alcoves. A wooden base, shaped banks and textured water integrate it into a modular river. Painting instructions cover pale stone, stained roadway, vegetation and flowing green-blue water, then show ruined statues and alternative arch arrangements. Templates make the basic construction reusable beyond the Mitheithel scenario.
