PAINTING·WHITE DWARF 301

Weathering and Damage

January 2005·p. 65

THE SHORT VERSION

Chipped paint, rusted exhausts and layered mud are placed where a working vehicle would receive the most wear. Dark outlines beneath metallic chips preserve contrast, orange stippling and black soot age the exhausts, and different browns distinguish fresh mud, dry deposits and the dirt caught within tracks.
