MODELLING·WHITE DWARF 301

Slain Mûmak

January 2005·pp. 108–109

THE SHORT VERSION

Mark Bedford removes the howdah and rebuilds the beast’s flank and leg joints to place it convincingly on its side. A larger wooden base supports the new pose, while flattened brass-rod arrows, broken weapons and scattered vegetation explain its fate without distracting from the enormous fallen body.
