The Hammer and the Anvil
February 2004·pp. 34–39
THE SHORT VERSION
Jay Browning argues that Dwarfs must compensate for slow movement while denying the enemy easy use of speed. Shooting can weaken attackers, but armoured infantry, protected flanks and supporting reserves must finish the work. Diagrams demonstrate trapping a charge, redirecting pursuers and combining bait with a counterattack. The advice balances terrain, runic equipment and formation placement rather than relying on an artillery line to win the battle alone.
